Since 1946, Hawaii School Nutrition Association has been working to ensure all of Hawaii’s keiki have access to healthful school meals and nutrition.

Hawaii SNA is affiliated with the School Nutrition Association, a national nonprofit professional organization of more than 55,000 members, and the leading authority on school nutrition. We work to ensure all children have access to healthful school meals & nutrition education by:

  • Providing members with education and training

  • Setting standards through certification and credentialing

  • Gathering and transmitting regulatory, legislative, industry, nutritional and other types of information related to school nutrition

  • Representing the nutritional interests of all children

Kaukau 4 Keiki

Cafeteria staff across the state worked hard all school year to assure that kids had both grab-and-go and in-school nutritious meals. This summer, a new program is providing weekly breakfast and lunch meal kits for children 18 and under who live in selected rural communities from now until July 31. Each box contains fresh veggies, fruits, meat and grains that meet USDA meal requirements. Click on the link below to read more about this exciting new program, and learn how you can help your community feed its Keiki!
